Description
Drew’s all-male a cappella group called 36 Madison Avenue is a great club for young men who enjoy singing and beat boxing. It has a group of eight guys who are all good friends that get along well. It has been around for more than 20 years and does shows that are preformed all around campus. They take other music and make it their own by only using their voices and sounds. This group doesn’t write original material but just revamps popular songs with their own style behind it. If you want to be a part of this group then all you have to do is bring some material (a verse or chorus) to an audition on September 6th.

Why someone might join
I was not surprised to see a group like this on campus. I personally love to sing loudly and openly but frankly I have a terrible voice. I know guys who have good voices could have a great time with something like this. What did surprise me were the types of guys that were promoting this club. I had some preconceived stereo-types of what kind of guys did a cappella singing, and these guys weren’t anything like I imagined. All of them were relatively normal looking with masculine features. It was fresh to see this and made me more open to try something like this if I wasn’t limited by my horrible sounding voice.
