In recent news the under tone of racism in the November election as rear its ugly head, the African –American voter pose concerns for a fair race and Precedence. From a series of interview Fausset ,  draws the conclusion  that African-American voter with the election getting closer are experiencing a heap of emotion, “Black voters feeling a mix of 'anticipation, hope, pride -- and fear'”. Some of this fear steam from the idea of assassination if Barack Obama was to become president. Some voices of concern are almost certain attempts would be made. Others sense of pride, hope and anticipation relies on a fair vote. Some of the Interviewees said that if Obama was to lose the election than there hope for a justice society would be diminishes; because the cloud discrimination would continue rain over African-American people with no hope of true equality.

“The more Obama is tested, the more he shows his presidential mettle”

Deep fears have been stirred in this election, but the Democratic candidate holds firm to the calm politics of hope

By:Timothy Garton Ash

The Guardian,

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/oct/23/barack-obama-us-assassination-us-elections

In recent news the reality of an attempted assassination of Barack Obama has surfaces once again. Ash discusses how the effect of such a tragedy could be disastrous. He brings about the idea of if such notion could even be discussed. Also he notes how the McCain –Palin’s attempts at assassinating Obama character could provoked racial aggression in the election. For example the charge made by Palin that “Obama has been palling around with territories” and claim of Obama being anti- American. Then with the reviled remarks “territories” and “kill him” at a Palin rally, reveal some racial tension in the election. Ash goes on to talk about that the security precaution are great for that of Obama than that of any White presidential candidate. With this he illustrates Obama’s courage to be a well versed man of color whose delegation supports the future of the Untied States.

This article show some sign of bein biased toward Obama but its also told both side so it's a little objective. In reading this article a got the strong sense that the write was a support of Obama.

This article discuss the idea of assassination in the back of everyone mind when thinking about Obama winning the election. Kamin also discuss how Gov. Sarah Palin called upon her rally support to tone the threats that were being made at her rally toward Sen. Obama. He then relates the possible of assassination with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1968 in its effect on the nation.  He goes on to say that it could be any one’s election at this point and how results of the election should have no prejudice in any account. And effort for a better America should be done in pace.

This article explores the very real idea of Sen. Barack Obama being assassinated if he wins the November election. He discusses how seen the assassination of John F. Kenny in 1968 that there has been background of fear within the White house politics. Carrol depicts how McCain criticize Congressman John Lewis at last week’s presidential debate and how he bought up the fact of the treat made my support of the Mc Cain –Palin rallies. He also goes on to talk about how Obama was a fear to address the issues and how regardless of race that the Young people have the right to have a well qualified president who promotes a better future. Carrol discuss that Obama is young enough and qualified to do just that.

This article was biased it illustrated the negative of McCain and kind of play on the sympathy of the read with relating Obama to Kennedy.

Kennedy relating there want for change and the hatred it provokes in the mind of some Americans.

-Geneva Lewis

This article was objective and biased it told the fact of the story but it also played up Obama by presenting as a figure that is as noble as JFK

My argument is how the media is placing reasonability on the McCain-Palin campaign for siring up the idea of Sen. Obama being assassinated. A great example of this would be Timothy Garton Ash from The Guardian review on this issue. The read can assume that from this article that the author is a little biased and that his political views lays in that of an Democrat. Due to him mentioning the idea of McCain-Palin directly attacking Obama character and how the associated with Anti- American. As well as his depicted of the McCain-Palin rally and how by  them  planning the anti- American cause a chain reaction manifesting hatred toward Obama and even an attempt of assassinated based of racial discrimination. For example, “Also he notes how the McCain –Palin’s attempts at Obama character could provoked racial aggression in the election. For example the charge made by Palin that “Obama has been palling around with territories” and claim of Obama being anti- American. Then with the reviled remarks “territories” and “kill him” at a Palin rally, reveal some racial tension in the election”.
