Page history last edited by sandra jamieson 15 years, 7 months ago

Description

Drew University offers a large verity of clubs and programs for any student interested. The Drew African Student Association is one of many clubs that exists at Drew University. DASA is a club that tries to give the community a large overview of Africa as a whole. DASA does this by having a series of events such as speakers to talk about the many issues that the continent of Africa is facing today. DASA’s main goal is to spread information on the problems that Africa is facing and hopefully lead to resolutions. DASA is a club that meets when events are scheduled. For those who have any questions or want to know dates for upcoming events, please contact akawuba@drew.edu.

Why someone might join

When first hearing about this club I wasn’t surprised. Many schools have clubs or programs that help Africa. It was nice to see that people were trying to get Africa as a continent acknowledged rather then separate countries. I plan on joining this club because I feel that being more aware of global issues around the world is important for me. Join DASA!! Every African country is represented.
